AHK Nigeria - Eventry

After the German Chamber of Commerce Abroad (AHK) in South Africa decided to use Guest-One’s participant management software “Eventry” in 2018, the next installation of a system for the AHK in Nigeria followed in July 2019. How does a Wuppertal company like Guest-One get customers for a participant management software in Africa?

The first contact was made at the “AHK World Conference 2018” in Berlin, which was also supported by Guest-One. Over the years, the AHK World Conference has developed into a meeting place for all those involved in German foreign trade promotion. In addition to current affairs, it also deals with the future issues of German foreign trade and the global economy. Every two years, representatives of the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad from 90 countries meet in Berlin for the AHK World Conference.
Guest-One also took over the participant management and the support of the guests on site and was able to establish the corresponding contacts on this occasion.

AHKs on the African continent organise a variety of events throughout the year, aiming for a high level of digitalisation. The participant management software “Eventry”, which customers can use to organise their events completely in-house after receiving the appropriate training, covers all important elements from sending out digital invitations and online registration to checking in guests at the event.

After setting up and configuring the system, Guest-One took over the training of the employees on site in Nigeria. In addition, Guest-One also supplied the necessary IT hardware such as notebooks, card printers and QR code scanners as well as pre-produced name badge blanks to Nigeria. During the two-day training, the first “real” projects were already created in the system, so that the AHK could immediately start using the system. With the AHK in Kenya, another installation will follow in autumn 2019.
