New Year’s reception of the Bergische IHK

The 2018 New Year’s Reception of the Wuppertal Chamber of Commerce and Industry was held under the motto “Digitalisation” – an occasion for the Chamber to opt for digital processes for the first time in its participant management as well.

In accordance with the occasion, postal invitations were sent to the approximately 4,000 guests, but the feedback was then provided via an online participation management system designed and implemented by Guest-One.

Guests were able to register for the event quickly and easily via a responsive online registration in the IHK’s corporate design. In addition to the invited guests, whose data was already stored in the system, interested parties could also register, who could then be “activated” accordingly by the IHK. All registered guests received an automatic email confirmation including the registration form. an eTicket with QR code.

On-site check-in took place at a total of 10 stations, where name badges were printed “live” in just a few seconds after the tickets had been scanned. This meant that there was no need for alphabetically arranged counters and that around 1,300 guests could be fully accredited in just over an hour. The guest list, which was made available to all participants after the event, also dispensed with printed copies for the first time. Instead, the list of participants was made available to guests as a PDF download on the registration page after the event.
