With the mega event “Diriyah Season” Guest-One was in charge of a complex project in Saudi Arabia for the first time. Within the framework of the festival-like event, which lasted about four weeks, a large number of individual events took place in various venues.
Formula E kicked things off at the end of November, celebrating its season opener at the Grand Prix circuit near Riyadh. The world heavyweight championship fight between Andy Ruiz Jr and Anthony Joshua, high-profile tennis and equestrian tournaments, and the Diriyah Music Festival were other highlights of what will be an annual event.
The “Crew Control” system was used to manage the almost 20,000 employees behind the scenes as well as the media representatives. “Crew-Control” supports the organizer not only in recording the necessary employee data and images, but also in setting up and controlling the various access authorizations and in recording working hours. Due to the extremely high security requirements, all employee data first had to be checked and approved by various local authorities before they could receive their accreditation on site. A requirement that could not have been met without “Crew Control”.
In addition to setting up and providing the system, which had to be completely implemented in Arabic for the first time, Guest-One also took over the production of 20,000 forgery-proof accreditation cards in XXL format as well as the corresponding lanyards. Finally, two project managers were responsible for setting up and supervising the technology on site.
