The features of our online voting:
The ballots are created by GuestONE in the voting system. The voting system also supports differentiated vote weightings and category-specific ballots. The ballots can be edited until they are activated, so it is also possible to react to last-minute changes and motions in the meeting. On the day of the meeting, participants log into the streaming room and can then follow the virtual meeting. From the streaming room, you can also access the virtual voting booth.
After entering his individual voting token, the participant will be forwarded to the deposited ballot papers. If he has several voting rights, he can either enter several tokens one after the other or receive a corresponding voting weighting. Elections can be held live for each agenda item or en bloc, and upstream electronic elections are also possible.
A project manager from GuestONE takes over the election and question management on site or remotely. Election results will be immediately displayed on the livestream or read out at the meeting.
After the online meeting, all participants will receive a follow up email with all the results of the meeting and the digital elections. Upon request, GUEST ONE can also provide documents, minutes or a recording of the virtual meeting for download.
When it became clear that official meetings could no longer be held as usual, the legislator reacted and, with the “Act to Mitigate the Consequences of COVID-19 in Civil, Insolvency and Criminal Procedure Law”, cleared the way for virtual general meetings without accompanying face-to-face meetings. This law has been extended for another 2021.
Amendments were also made to the Cooperative Societies Act (GenG) and the Reorganisation of Companies Act (UmwG), which, among other things, also open up the possibility of digital decision-making.
